With over 30 years of enterprise infrastructure experience, Ben Paterson has spent his career building and managing systems at every scale imaginable — from military-grade communications networks to some of the largest data centers in the world.
His journey began in the United States Marine Corps, where he specialized in communications systems. After his service, he moved into the telecom industry, working with major providers to build the backbone of modern connectivity.
From there, Ben spent years managing data center operations at leading tech companies, where he oversaw infrastructure serving millions of users. It was during this time that he saw firsthand how dependent businesses and individuals had become on cloud services they didn't own or control.
That realization became the seed for BalanciaAI: what if everyone could have enterprise-grade infrastructure in their own home or office? What if the same tools Fortune 500 companies use could run on affordable, energy-efficient hardware — without monthly fees, without data mining, and without giving up control?
Today, Ben runs BalanciaAI's entire 31-server, 78-service infrastructure on the same platform he sells to customers. He calls it "proof in production" — if it's good enough for his own business, it's good enough for yours.

The entire infrastructure is backed by an Uninterruptible Power Supply. When the power goes out, your website, AI, email, and every other service stays online.
Every server is powered via Power over Ethernet. One cable per device carries both data and power. No power bricks, no cable mess — just clean, efficient infrastructure.
